Our primary activity is the supply of coiling solutions to manufacturers of HDPE, PEX and other plastic pipes who are seeking innovative, high-quality equipment tailored to their exact requirements.

What We Do

About Us

Drawing upon many years of experience in designing coiling equipment for plastic pipe, composite pipe, umbilical cable and wire rope, we aim to provide equipment solutions that are technology leading and designed to give many years of reliable operation.

Our comprehensive knowledge of the numerous machines originally manufactured by Pipe Coil Technology Ltd (PCT) enables us to provide full after sales support and various upgrade paths to users of these machines. In particular, we have an excellent track record of performing control system upgrades on PCT manufactured machines which can extend their useful life by 10 to 12 years.

We also offer bespoke control system design and supply for applications across various industries, in particular where there is a requirement to control multiple electric motors and for process automation.

We strive to develop close relationships with our customers in order to thoroughly understanding their operational requirements, so that we can offer optimum equipment solutions. During all supply phases, from application assessment through to equipment installation and handover, it is primarily our engineers who liaise with our customers.

Who We Are

About Us

History
The people within Pipe Coil Dynamics Ltd have a long history with pipe coiling equipment for HDPE, PEX and PB pipe stretching back to 1989 when Gordon Fiddes was involved in a UK joint industry development project to supply 180mm HDPE gas pipe in coiled lengths. After developing and successfully installing several of these early coiling machines, Gordon formed Pipe Coil Technology Ltd (PCT) in 1993. From 1993 to 2013 PCT designed and supplied a wide variety of coiling machines for use with plastic pipe, composite pipe, subsea umbilical and steel wire rope.

In 2013 PCT was sold to Reece Group, who operated the company until 2016 at which time they closed the business to focus on their core activities in the defence and oil & gas sectors.

In 2016 Dr Joe Robinson formed JR Control Systems Ltd to provide continuity of after sales support to users of PCT machines. The company began supplying new machines in 2020 and have steadily been expanding the range of new machines offered over the past five years.

In May 2023 the company name was changed to Pipe Coil Dynamics Ltd to reflect the core activity of the business.

The company recently introduced a range of fully automated coiling systems for 63mm to 180mm diameter HDPE pipe which are unique in the market.

Our Team

Our key strength is our dedicated team of highly qualified people who have many years of experience in pipe coiling equipment design and supply as well as wider experience in complex machine design and supply in other challenging industries such as oil & gas and industrial handling sectors.
